Axe Throwing FAQ
The minimum age you can throw axes is age 7. Ages 7 – 17 must have a signed waiver by a parent or legal guardian.
Yes, we require you to sign every time you come to throw axes.
There is limited space in the axe throwing areas, however, if you keep spectators to a minimum, that should be fine. Keep in mind this is easy and fun, so there’s almost no reason to not join the fun!
CLOSED-TOE SHOES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES! No one will be permitted to participate without the proper shoes. So, no flip-flops, bare feet, sandals, etc. For the rest of your body, comfortable clothing is a good idea.
Axe throwing is very safe. Everyone that is axe throwing will receive a safety briefing, it is important that you listen and follow all of the safety rules.
You can bring your own sodas, water, Gatorade, etc. NO GLASS! Cups must have a lid, such as a yeti tumbler.
NO BYOB. Sorry, blame the lawmakers.
Food trucks will sometimes be set out front. You may also bring your own food or order delivery.
To request a refund for regular bookings and reservations, we require a 24-hour notice. Please note that a $5.00 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. For special events and private parties, a 48-hour notice is required to receive a partial refund. However, please note that 50% of the total amount is nonrefundable in these cases.
Need to know
- Check Facebook for updates and openings in addition to normal business hours.
- The last reservation is one hour prior to closing. If no reservation is made SOMD Axe may close early.
SOMD AXE reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason, not limited to the following:

- ANY unsafe or unlawful activity inside or outside the premises.
- Throwing the axe in an unsafe manner.
